TEACHERS BEGIN NEW YEAR INSPIRED

Just as they begin in-person learning for the first time in months over 100 teachers and principals sat fo an educational and inspirational farbrengen with Rabbi Yossi Paltiel.

The beginning of the school year is a hectic time, especially for mechanchim. Nevertheless, over 100 teachers and principals took time from their school work to attend an educational and inspirational Chai Elul farbrengen.

The farbrengen, titled “Be alive to enliven your students” was led by Noted Mashpia & Mechanech Rabbi Yossi Paltiel of Crown Heights, who enthralled the crowd sharing insightful ideas and inspirational anecdotes.

He expanded on the way the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe taught and urged the Mechanchim to use that method. “While getting your students to really work is vital to their growth, I would trade 100 pounds of academic aptitude for a pound of faith,” he said. “Chassidus is a point which is deeper than the mind, transcends intelect it reaches the neshama naturally” he said. It doesn’t make sense that people are afraid of learning Tanya, why are they afraid? Because it works!”

“Children have to be taught Yiras Shomaim, we do mitzvos the best way possible we don’t look for Heteirim Chassidim are Lchatchila people”

“To inspire your students, raise them, uplift them like the Baal Shem Tov did. If the world was in a status of faint (מצב של התעלפות) then, so that method of inspiring was needed, how much more so now!” He said. The farbrengen lasted numerous hours with many warm Chassidishe nigunim. Many melamdim commented they felt a special feeling of התעוררות and התרוממות (uplifting).

Director of Igud Hamelamdim Rabbi Avrohom Bluming says that he is excited about the new school year. “We look forward to empowering our children’s leaders in every way, thereby ensuring the best chinuch for them. We have exciting plans for this year – for both the teachers and students.”
